自傳的優劣, 語言能力不是絕對關鍵

這份自傳的架構可先分成三個主要部分：
第一部份 個人特徵和競爭力的描述 I am a xxx 「國籍」, agreeable, amiable, charming, polite, likeable, gregarious, sympathetic, straight forward, helpful, kind, generous, adaptable, understanding, diplomatic, impartial, versatile, intuitive, proactive, hardworking, diligent, trustworthy, reliable, dependable, energetic, adventurous, enthusiastic, convivial and cheerful with teaching experience.

其中第一部分比重最重, 確實符合自傳原則. 不過仔細一看, 此段描述皆是形容詞拼接組合而成, 過於虛華主觀, 沒有說服力. 簡單來說會讓閱讀者產生 「都是你在說？怎麼證明？哇！完人一枚！連我都做不到，真的假的？」這樣的質疑. 比較恰當的做法是：從中選責2–3個具代表性的特質再加上具體描述 ,用比較客觀的角度, 強調自己的競爭力. 以文中的常見詞helpful來說明 這是常見的英文自傳用字. 如果用以強調的個人特質的代表詞, 不妨加入適當的環境說明：I have lesson plans for all my classes that give students a clear idea of what they will be learning, what the assignments are and what the grading policy is, I ask questions frequently to make sure students are following along. trying to engage the whole class…這些說明會是比較有利的佐證. 這種模式的寫法 重說明描述, 不需要太華麗的文字包裝 也適度地減輕英文自傳中常見的字彙壓力. 掌握三個關鍵就能寫出有張力的個人特質
